Frequently asked questions.
How do the common areas work?
There is a common area on each level. If you rent all of the rooms on your level then you will not need to share the kitchen, living room, and dining room with other guests. If you only rent part of the level, however, you can expect to share the common area with other guests staying on that level.
How many people will the Lodge accommodate?
Up to 21 guests. We have 5 comfortable guest rooms, each with its own private bathroom. There are 2 common areas, one on each level, each includes a fully-operational kitchen, living room, and dining room.
Guest Room #1 sleeps up to 4, with 1 queen bed and 1 bunk bed
Guest Room #2 sleeps up to 4, with 1 queen bed and 1 bunk bed
Guest Room #3 sleeps up to 6, with 1 queen bed and 2 bunk beds
Guest Room #4 sleeps up to 4, with 1 queen bed and 1 bunk bed
Guest Room #5 sleeps up to 3, with 1 king bed and 1 twin bed
Do you accommodate hunters?
Yes! Faulkton is located in the heart of some of the best pheasant-hunting in the world! SD Game, Fish, & Parks’ website lists a variety of other hunting options South Dakota has to offer (deer, goose, etc…). At 212 Lodge we love hosting individual hunters and large hunting groups. Call (605)290-3609 for a customized quote for your hunting party.
Do I have to rent the entire Lodge?
No. While the entire lodge is available for rent (and ideal for large groups like hunters, family reunions, or wedding parties), you are welcome to rent any number of rooms available during your requested reservation dates. Just be aware that if you do not rent all the rooms on your level, you may be sharing the common area (living room, kitchen, and dining room) with other guests.
Do the rooms have private bathrooms?
Yes! Every guest room has a private bathroom with its own shower and/or tub.
Is the Lodge a house?
Yes, but it’s not like most houses. It’s kind of like an Air B&B but better. The Tanner family home has been carefully renovated to maximize the comfort of our guests. Not only does each of its 5 guest rooms have its own private bathroom, but each level has a full kitchen, living room, and dining room available for your use.
Is there room to park a trailer?
Yes. We have a sizable parking lot for standard size vehicles and several locations to accommodate campers or trailers. If you call us ahead of your stay at (605)290-3609, we can let you know where to park.
Is the Lodge pet-friendly?
Absolutely! We love our own furry, family friends and we’re happy to accommodate yours. We do keep our upper level completely pet free so that we can accommodate guests with allergies. Our lower level accommodates pets and we allow crated pets to stay in our heated garage. We also have gated pet runs in the back yard for your use. We charge a modest nightly fee for pets.
I’m not good with stairs, can you still accommodate me?
Yes! Each of our stairwells to the lower level are outfitted with chair lifts to make them accessible for all guests.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, credit card, & Venmo.
